Af.M | DOP -

Israeli occupation forces repressed Saturday, 17 September 2022 an activity against the Israeli occupation and its colonial settlers’ offenses in the village of Al-Tawana in Masafer Yatta, south of Hebron.

Local sources reported that the IOF attacked the Palestinian participants along with the foreign supporters and excessively fired tear gas bombs toward the protesters, injuring one Palestinian old man near the entrance to the village of Al-Tawana in Masafer Yatta, south of Hebron.

It is worth pointing out that the colonial settlers guarded by IOF intensified their raids against the Palestinians in Masafer Yatta, particularly during the past two days after announcing  Masafer Yatta as an Israeli military Zone.

Masafer Yatta, located in southern Hebron Hills, extends over an area of 30,000 dunams, with a population of 2,500 residents distributed over 12 villages or hamlets.

More than 2000 Palestinian residents in Masafer Yatta are facing forcibly displacement from their homes by the Israeli occupation.
