Israeli occupation forces violently repressed a peaceful anti-settlement demonstration in Beit Dejan, located to the east of Nablus, leaving several Palestinians with tear gas inhalation.

The Palestinian Red Crescent reported that Israeli forces fired rubber-coated steel bullets, released tear gas canisters, and threw stun grenades at the march, which caused at least five people to experience difficulty breathing due to the inhalation of tear gas.

All of them were treated on the spot.

The people’s committee for the defense of land in Beit Dejan, the Commission against the Wall and settlement, and the Factional Coordination Committee in Nablus issued a rallying cry, with participants at the event voicing their disapproval of the ongoing Israeli aggression towards Gaza and expressing their solidarity with Palestinians in the region.

Palestinian inhabitants in the area have been demonstrating against the unlawful appropriation of Palestinian territory for the purpose of settlement expansion.
