The Israeli forces, today Saturday March 19th, stopped Palestinian civilians from entering Al-Aqsa mosque and performing their religious prayers, moments after arriving.
Local recourses declared that occupation police forces stationed on the doors of Al-Aqsa mosque stood in the way of busses filled with Palestinians from various cities of the west bank who commuted in hopes of having the chance to pray in the holy mosque. The forces also confiscated and investigated the ids of some of the passengers.
The occupation forces aim enforce a status quo of cutting and preventing any possible ties between Palestinians and their religious practices inside the holy mosque.
The occupation also targets the Jerusalemite and defenders in systematic arrests, fines, and deportations in order to keep them away from Al-Aqsa. The protectors’ activity over Al-Aqsa is considered a vocal trigger and concern of the Israeli apartheid regime.
There is a clear increase in the number of armed intrusions into the Al-Aqsa mosque by colonial groups and under the protection of the occupation forces.
