Israeli occupation forces quelled the Palestinian anti-settlement marches in occupied Nablus and injured dozens on Friday, February 24, 2023.

Palestinian local sources reported that dozens of Palestinians were injured after Israeli occupation forces attacked the weekly marches of Beit Dajan and Beita in occupied Nablus.

The Palestinian Red Crescent PRC reported that 30 Palestinians suffered breathing problems due to tear gas canisters fired by Israeli occupation forces in Beit Dajan.

Two other Palestinians were directly hit by tear gas canisters in the hand and shoulder during the Israeli attacks in Beit Dajan, according to the PRS statement.

Meanwhile, Palestinian sources said that 10 Palestinians suffered tear gas inhalation during the Israeli suppression of the Beita march, south of occupied Nablus.

On Fridays, Palestinians in several parts of the occupied West Bank join in anti-settlement marches to protest against the Israeli settlements’ expansion, which swallowed mass areas of their lands.

The right-wing Israeli new government aims at expanding settlement in the occupied West Bank, which Palestinians reject and protest against. The new government has announced multiple settlement projects since the start of 2023.
