Palestinian reports revealed on Friday, July 1, that six Palestinians have been shot dead by the Israeli occupation forces in the occupied Jerusalem since the start of 2022. Meanwhile, the Israeli occupation forces detained 2012 Palestinians, including children and women. In addition,Israeli occupation authorities carried out 90 demolitions in Jerusalem, including 70 self-demolitions.

16-year-old Palestinian child Yamen Nafez Jafal, was shot dead on March 3 by the Israeli occupation forces in Abu Dis town, occupied Jerusalem. Israeli forces seriously wounded Jafal and prevented an ambulance from reaching him, leaving him bleeding to death.
On the morning of March 15, the Palestine youth, Muhammad Al-Shaham, from Qalandia camp, died of critical injuries he sustained by Israeli forces during a barbaric military incursion into the camp.

On the following day, 20-year-old Abd al-Rahman Qassem, from Ramallah, was shot dead, for allegedly carrying out a stabbing attack in the Qattanin Market, near Al-Aqsa Mosque. Israeli occupation authorities still hold the dead bodies of Al-Qawasmi and Qassem.
On May 11, Israeli forces shot dead the 51-year-old American-Palestinian journalist Shireen Abu Akleh while assuming her job in the occupied West Bank of Jenin. Massive crowds of Palestinians took part in Abu Akleh funeral in Jerusalem.
23-year-old Palestinian youth Walid Al Shareef succumbed to his critical injuries he sustained by Israeli occupation forces at Al-Aqsa Mosque, occupied Jerusalem, on the third Friday of the holy month of Ramadan.
Israeli forces attacked the Palestinian mourners at the funerals of Abu Akleh and Shareef in the occupied Jerusalem, firing them with tear gas canisters and injuring dozens.
The number of the Palestinian residential and commercial facilities demolished by Israel in Jerusalem, during the first half of this year reached 90. 70 Palestinians were forced to self-demolish their homes.
The Israeli forces have detained 2012 Palestinians in Jerusalem, including 218 minors and 36 women. During the second Friday of Ramadan, the Israeli forces kidnapped 417 Palestinians from Al-Aqsa Mosque.
56 Palestinians in Jerusalem were arrested on charges of throwing snowballs at the Israeli occupation forces in the towns of Al-Tur, Jabal Mukaber and the Old City, in January.
