A number of Palestinian civilians suffocated today, Tuesday, 25, 2023, during confrontations that erupted following the Israeli forces’ incursion into the town of Nabi Saleh, west of Ramallah.
Youssef al-Khawaja, the mayor of Nabi Saleh, said that Israeli soldiers fired tear gas, sound bombs, and rubber-coated metal bullets at Palestinians during the confrontations that broke out in the town’s center.
Al-Khawaja further stated that Israeli forces summoned several Palestinian civilians for field interrogations but no arrests have been reported thus far.
The town of Nabi Saleh has been at the center of numerous clashes and protests against the Israeli occupation, with Palestinians demanding an end to settlement expansion and the removal of barriers that restrict their movement.
