Israeli occupation forces injured a Palestinian young man near the Shuafat military checkpoint, located in the northeastern part of occupied Jerusalem.
According to local sources, the Israeli forces opened fire on the young man as he was passing through the Shuafat checkpoint. He was subsequently transported to a hospital in Jerusalem for medical treatment.
It was further reported that the Israeli forces have heightened their military measures at the checkpoint, resulting in disruptions to the movement of Palestinian civilians.
The incident adds to the ongoing tensions in the occupied territories, where Palestinians face daily challenges and restrictions due to the presence of Israeli checkpoints.
