The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) launched Monday, June 5, 2023, a large-scale detention campaign in the cities of the occupied West Bank, detaining 22 Palestinian citizens.
The arrests targeted individuals from various areas, including Nablus, Bethlehem, Tulkarm, Jericho, and Ramallah.
According to a Prisoners’ Information Office reporter, the occupation forces detained Allam Kaabi from the town of Rojib, east of Nablus, Muhammad Saber al-Badan from the town of Tuqu’, east of Bethlehem, the released prisoner Fouad Muhammad Farhan from the town of Deir al-Ghusun near Tulkarm, and the young men Moayad al-Sajdi from the Aqabat Jabr camp in Jerich.
In the eastern part of Ramallah, specifically in the village of Al-Mughayir, the Israeli forces launched a widespread arrest campaign targeting 15 Palestinians.
Israeli forces have been carrying out near-daily military raids and violations against Palestinians in recent months.
During the first quarter of 2023, Israeli military forces arrested about 1,600 Palestinians, bringing the number of Palestinian prisoners in Israeli jails to about 5,000 according to human rights institutions concerned with the affairs of Palestinian detainees.
