Israeli occupation forces IOF demolished two Palestinian residential structures in the Jerusalem town of Jabal Al-Mukaber on Saturday evening, March 18, 2023.
Palestinian local sources reported that Israeli bulldozers demolished two homes made of wood and tin under the pretext of building without a permit.
The two homes, housing 11 family members, are owned by the families of Oudeh and Hamza Al-Saidi. The homes’ area is estimated to be 100 square meters.
Al-Saidi families constructed their homes in 1993. The Israeli occupation authorities ordered the eviction of the two families in 1997.
Earlier in March, the Israeli new government ordered to continue demolishing Palestinian homes during the holy month of Ramadan, marked on March 23rd.
Israeli occupation authorities don’t allow Palestinians to build without permits. However, obtaining a building permit for Palestinians is extremely complicated.
Almost a third of Palestinian homes in occupied Jerusalem were built without a permit because Israel deprived their owners of building permits.
