Israeli occupation forces conducted a wide-scale arrest campaign on Wednesday morning, July 2, detaining 37 Palestinians from various cities and towns in the occupied West Bank and Jerusalem.
According to local sources, Israeli forces, backed by military vehicles, raided the towns of Burqin, Yamoun, and Ya’bad in Jenin, arresting 8 Palestinians.
In Nablus, the Israeli military vehicles stormed the al-Moraj neighborhood and Jabal Fatair and arrested Muath Salamah and Asid Salamah.
In Ramallah, Israeli forces arrested Shihab Maher Rmanah, Mohammad Abu Aziz, and Qusam Abed after raiding their homes in al-Bireh.
Seven Palestinians were arrested in the town of Tamoun, south of Tubas. They were identified as Sami Khalid Bani Odeh, Hani Bani Odeh, Mustafa Bani Odeh, Ra’iq Bisharat, Ayman Naser Bisharat, Mohammad Bisharat, and Harith Jihad Bani Odeh.
In Tulkarm, IOF arrested Zaher Hamad after raiding his home in the town of Sida to the north. The forces also arrested the ex-prisoner Hazem Sharawneh after raiding his home in the town of Dura to the south of Hebron.
In Salfit, the two youths Malik Musa Rayyan and Nael Baha Rayyan were also arrested after their homes were raided in the town of Kafr al-Dik.
From Bethlehem, the Israeli occupation arrested Amir Taqatqa and Qusai Diriyah from Beit Fajjar, Ibrahim Aliyan and the teenager Saif Darwish after raiding their homes in Aida refugee camp.
In addition, the arrests in Bethlehem included Abed Hamamra, Ibrahim Khaled Hamamra, Mohammad Khaled Hamamra, Ra’ed Hamamra, and Yasin Jadallah Sabateen from Husan in the west.
In Jerusalem, the occupation forces arrested Yousuf Askar, the teenager Abdul Askar, and the teenager Abdul Rahman Askar from the town of Hazma to the east, as well as Mu’een al-Faqeeh from the town of Qatannah to the northwest of the city.
Israeli forces continue to engage in semi-daily incursions and arrests across the West Bank, perpetuating a climate of fear and instability for Palestinian communities. These routine operations involve raids on Palestinian homes, arbitrary detentions, and the disruption of daily life.
Significantly, IOF carried out a substantial wave of arrests during the month of June, targeting a total of 380 Palestinians, including 45 children and 10 women, across the West Bank, Jerusalem, and the Gaza Strip, as documented by the Palestinian Center for Prisoners’ Studies.
