The Israeli occupation forces and settlers committed 3,180 violations against Palestinians in the occupied West Bank and Jerusalem during August 2023, according to data published by the Palestinian Information Center “Ma’ta.”
The Report revealed that Israeli occupation troopers and settlers killed 21 Palestinians, including 6 children, and wounded 591 others in 185 shooting attacks.
Israeli occupation deported 6 Palestinians from the Al-Aqsa Mosque while about 3,892 Israeli settlers invaded the courtyards of the sacred Mosque and performed provocative Talmudic rituals.
Israeli troops carried out 96 arrest campaigns in the occupied city of Jerusalem out of 587 arrest campaigns in the occupied West Bank, the report added.
Furthermore, the Israeli occupation carried out 13 settlement activities including confiscating and bulldozing lands, constructing roads, and approving the construction of housing units.
During the reporting period, Israeli settlers have carried out 124 attacks against Palestinians and their property in the occupied Jerusalem and West Bank, including severely beating Palestinians, land theft, violating Islamic and Christian sanctities, and writing racist slogans on Palestinians’ cars and sabotaging them.
Israeli occupation forces and settlers destroyed 51 Palestinian facilities, including commercial shops, agricultural facilities, and barracks. In addition, Israeli forces confiscated 50 Palestinian-owned properties.
The report monitored 28 attacks on places of worship and holy sites, adding that Israeli occupation forces closed 54 roads or areas and set up about 423 military checkpoints in various areas of the occupied West Bank and Jerusalem.
According to the report, the Palestinian cities most exposed to Israeli violations are the city of Nablus with 906 violations, followed by Hebron with 464 violations, then Ramallah with 384 violations.
