Israeli bulldozers have once again resumed razing dozens of dunams of land belonging to Palestinian citizens in the town of Bruqin, located to the west of Salfit on Wednesday, September 27, 2023.
Salfit Governor, General Abdullah Kamil, expressed concern over these ongoing razings, which are part of the rapid expansion and annexation projects by the Israeli occupation.
These actions serve to undermine the Palestinian dream of establishing an independent state and breaking free from the occupation’s grip.
Amin Sabra, the Mayor of Bruqin, explained that Israeli bulldozers have been relentlessly razing nearly 50 dunams of land owned by Palestinian citizens.
This land is being used to expand the “Brukhin” settlement and construct new settlement units.
Sabra further pointed out that the Israeli occupation has been targeting lands adjacent to the settlement for some time, with the goal of annexing them and expanding the settlement’s territory.

The total area of Bruqin town is approximately 13,000 dunams, with the structural plan covering 1,480 dunams.
The remaining areas are classified as “Area C,” where the Israeli occupation prohibits construction and development.
Some of this land has already been seized for the benefit of settlements such as “Brukhin,” “Ariel Industrial Zone,” and “Barkan,” as well as the new pastoral outpost in the northeastern part of the town.
