DayofPal– The Israeli occupation army has been using Arbel AI weapons system, co-produced by an Indian defence company, to kill more Gazans, marking it to be the first weapons system to directly tie India to Israel’s expanding AI war in Gaza.
Arbel turns machine guns and assault rifles into computerized killing machines that depend on certain algorithms to push soldiers for killing people more accurately and efficiently.
According to documents and news reports seen by MEE, Israeli forces have been using the Arbel weapons system in Gaza following their devastating ground invasion of the enclave after the Al-Aqsa Flood Operation.
The weapons were co-produced by India as part of its long complicit role in Israeli crimes. Indian weapon components have played a shadowy role in Israel’s war on Gaza over the past year, prompting several Indian activists and lawyers to pressure Delhi to halt military exchanges with Israel.
In February, it was reported that 20 Indian-made Israeli combat drones were delivered to Israel, with an Indian news channel claiming the Hermes 900 drones would assist “Israel’s needs in the Israel-Hamas war”.
Arbel’s Al weapons system’s name refers to the Israeli town that was built around the site of a Palestinian village, Hitten, which was ethnically cleansed in 1948.
Like people of Hitten, tens of thousands of Palestinians have been forcefully expelled from their homes in northern Gaza. About 44,000 Palestinians in Gaza are believed to be killed by the Israeli army since the onset of the war.
More women and children have been killed in Gaza by Israeli firepower than in any other wars over the past 20 years with 1,000 entire families have been erased.
