DayofPal—A Palestinian human rights organization has reported that 214 Bedouin and agricultural families have been forcibly displaced from Area C of the occupied West Bank since the start of 2026.
The organization cited escalating settler attacks and restrictive Israeli land policies.
According to the Al-Baydar Centre for Human Rights, the majority of those affected are Bedouin communities in the Jordan Valley, who face geographical isolation, limited legal recourse and repeated incidents of harassment.
The group said many of the attacks occurred in the presence of Israeli forces, contributing to coercive environment that leaves families with little choice but to leave.
Area C remains under full Israeli civil and military control, with Israel exercising authority over planning, construction permits and natural resources.
Rights groups argue that strict building regulations and demolition policies, combined with rising settler violence, have intensified pressure on Palestinian residents.
The centre documented displacement across eight communities, with Shalal Al-Auja the hardest hit, accounting for 120 displaced families.
Additional communities affected include Tel Al-Samadi, Wadi Abu al-Hayat, Al-Burj, Al-Hamma, Al-Mayta, Abu Hamam and Al-Khala’il.
The organization warned that continued displacement threatens the long-term survival of Bedouin and farming communities throughout the Jordan Valley.
