Israel Continues To Persecute Palestinians: Injuries, Arrests, Closure Of Streets In Jerusalem

Israeli occupation forces (IOF) on Friday continued their aggression against Palestinians, holy places, and properties.

A number of Palestinian citizens were wounded by gunfire during confrontations with the occupation and the suppression of anti-settlement marches.

A Palestinian girl and a number of citizens were arrested in Jerusalem and Jenin as well as Ramallah.

Meanwhile, the Israeli occupation closed a number of streets in Jerusalem, under the pretext of securing a marathon held in the city.

Clashes with Israeli occupation after the suppression of Palestinian activities

IOF shot injured four Palestinian citizens with rubber-coated metal bullets and dozens suffocated by tear gas inhalation during the suppression of the weekly march in the town of Kafr Qaddum, east of Qalqilya.

Palestinians are weekly organizing a protest against settlements and to demand the opening of the village street, which has been closed for more than 17 years in favor of the settlement of “Qadumim”, which is on the village’s land.

Also, IOF shot injured five Palestinian citizens with rubber-coated metal bullets.

Among the injuries, a journalist and dozens were suffocated with tear gas during clashes with occupying forces in the town of Beta, south of Nablus.

In the village of Beit Djin, east of the governorate, 11 citizens were suffocated by tear gas inhalation.

Israeli occupying soldiers also beat a citizen during the suppression of the weekly anti-settlements march.

IOF arrest Palestinians in Jerusalem, Ramallah, and Jenin

IOF arrested Najwa Adnan, who is from Nablus, from Bab Hatta in the Old City of Occupied Jerusalem as soon as she was leaving the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque.

Meanwhile, IOF kidnapped Omar Odeh, who is from the town of Umm el-Fahm in the 48 lands, from Al-Aqsa Square.

In the town of Jabal Al-Mukaber, south-east of occupied Jerusalem, occupying forces assaulted a young man before arresting him and transferring him to an investigation center in the town.

The occupying forces arrested the two freed prisoners, Ahmed Abu Amira and Bakr Hilal Saba, after storming the city of Jenin and raiding their homes.

IOF also arrested a young man, Alaa Saleh Abu Sharifah, after they raided his family home in Al-Jalazoun camp north of Ramallah.

Israeli marathon turns Jerusalem into military barracks

Israeli occupation police have closed several streets in occupied Jerusalem under the pretext of securing a marathon run by the occupation municipality.

The closures included dozens of streets from north of Jerusalem (French Hill and Sheikh Jarrah) to the south (Al-Quds – Al-Khalil Street).

The closures include the area of Al-Masarara, Bab Al-Khalil, Bab Al-Jadeed, and Jaffa Street.

Local sources said that IOF heavily deployed the roads and stopped and searched a number of young Palestinian men and their identities, amid the closure of the streets surrounding the so-called “Jerusalem 2022 Marathon “.

On the other hand, the occupying forces raided Al-Arroub camp, north of Hebron, and searched several homes, including the home of the family of the young Abd al-Fattah Abu Sal.
