Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) notified Thursday, June 1, 2023, of the confiscation and the stop of construction of agricultural facilities in al-Mughayyir village, northeast of Ramallah.
Local sources reported that the occupation forces stormed the village and handed the Palestinian citizen Nael Rashid al-Hajj Muhammad a notice to seize 5 dunums of his land, located at the eastern entrance to the village, under the pretext of building an Israeli military tower.
Sources also added that the occupation forces handed the Palestinian citizen, Rizq Abu Naim, a notice to stop work and construction in an agricultural facility and a sheep pen, located in the eastern side of the village.
Israeli occupation forces continue to close the eastern entrance to the village for the 20th day in a row.
During the first months of 2023, Israeli occupation demolished 185 Palestinian-owned structures in the occupied West Bank and Jerusalem, according to the United Nations Organization for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs in the Occupied Palestinian Territory (OCHA).
OCHA explained that the Israeli occupation carry out the stop-construction and demolition orders under the pretext of lacking a building permit. The organization noted that “it is almost impossible for Palestinians to obtain such or that permit.”
