Israeli occupation forces issued on Tuesday, August 8, 2023, demolition orders for two Palestinian homes in the town of Al-Khader, located south of Bethlehem, under the pretext of lacking proper permits.
According to Hassan Breijia, director of the Bethlehem office of the Wall and Settlements Resistance Commission, Israeli forces informed Palestinians of their intention to demolish the homes situated in the “Khallet Aliya” area south of the town. The Palestinians have been granted a four-day grace period to comply with the orders.
Breijia clarified that each of the houses has a floor area of 150 square meters. One of the structures is currently under construction, while the other is already inhabited by a family of five, belonging to the Palestinian citizen Sameeh Ahmad Salah.
The Israeli occupation has previously demolished Salah’s residence four times in the same location.
