DaysofPal- The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) continued to commit heinous crimes against the Palestinian people in the northern Gaza Strip, as part of a large-scale military operation targeting all aspects of life, under the title of “Generals’ Plan.”
For more than 11 days, the IOF has been raging in war, imposing a stifling siege on civilians in northern Gaza, preventing the entry of food, medicine, and fuel, and destroying bakeries and water wells.
The IOF heinous crimes against civilians, which claimed the lives of over 300 civilians and injured hundreds more so far, most of whom are children and women, with dozens others still under the ruble and streets.
Seeking to forcibly evacuate the residents of the northern Gaza Strip to the southern Gaza Strip, the IOF intensified their crimes against civilians in the northern Gaza Strip.
IOF claim they are not implementing the Generals’ Plan, but the Israeli crimes and facts on the ground suggest otherwise.
The failure to officially declare the plan likely stems from fear of its failure, as residents of northern Gaza remain steadfast, refusing to leave their homes despite the ongoing Israeli crimes and massacres committed against them.
UNRWA Commissioner-General Philippe Lazzarini stated that civilians in northern Gaza “have been given no choice but to leave the area or starve to death,” emphasizing that civilians must be protected and not forcibly displaced.
Lazzarini added that the health system in northern Gaza is “almost collapsed,” indicating that they were unable to communicate with the UN field teams due to the interruption of communications.
Lazzarini confirmed that the Israeli occupation has not allowed the UN to deliver any aid, including food, to northern Gaza since September 30.
For its part, the Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates warned on Tuesday that the Israel occupation is deepening its control over the Gaza Strip, and it is imposing an Israeli administrative rule on the northern Gaza Strip, as a prelude to generalizing it to all areas of the Strip.
The Israeli occupation forces are attempting to exploit global and media focus on larger issues, such as the war in Lebanon and the conflict with Iran, to commit further crimes against Palestinians in the Gaza Strip, particularly in the northern region.
Through the heinous crimes it is committing against Palestinians, the Israeli occupation seeks to achieve one of three objectives: to depopulate the north in a way that guarantees long-term security for the Israeli occupation, and to strengthen its negotiating position by pressuring Hamas to make further concessions.
Specialists in Israeli affairs noted that the Israeli occupation is hesitant to publicly acknowledge that the events in the northern Gaza Strip are part of the Generals’ Plan, due to fear of failure.
Additionally, the Israeli actions constitute a criminal plan that the US cannot openly endorse.
