Israeli occupation forces IOF kidnapped six Palestinians during military raids in the occupied West Bank on Monday early morning, July 10, 2023.
According to local sources, Israeli forces detained Osama ‘Awaidat from Al-Arroub refugee camp in Hebron, after raiding his home. They also arrested Khaled Abu Daoud and Hazem Khurawat from Hebron City.
In addition, Israeli soldiers kidnapped Khaled B’eirat from the town of Kafr Malik in eastern Ramallah, as well as Ahmed Al-Malhi and Mohammed Ghurab from the Ein Al-Louza neighborhood in the town of Silwan, Jerusalem.
Israeli troops conducted raids on the outskirts of Rujeib and Kafr Qalil villages, southeast of Nablus, as well as the town of Zawata, west of Nablus, the sources added.
Furthermore, journalists Mohammed Turkman and Karim Khmaiseh were held for several hours at the Deir Sharaf military checkpoint west of Nablus after returning from media coverage in Jenin earlier today.
Media sources reported that IOF assaulted the two journalists and damaged their vehicle. Videos showed Turkman’s car after it was sabotaged by IOF.
The spokesperson for the Israeli occupation army confirmed that five Palestinians were arrested from different parts of the West Bank during the night.
Israeli forces continue to engage in semi-daily incursions and arrests across the West Bank, perpetuating a climate of fear and instability for Palestinian communities. These routine operations involve raids on Palestinian homes, arbitrary detentions, and the disruption of daily life.
Significantly, IOF carried out a substantial wave of arrests during the month of June, targeting a total of 380 Palestinians, including 45 children and 10 women, across the West Bank, Jerusalem, and the Gaza Strip, as documented by the Palestinian Center for Prisoners’ Studies.
