Israeli occupation forces (IOF) launched on Thursday a wide-scale arresting campaign in cities and towns of occupied West Bank and Jerusalem, including a deputy in the Legislative Council and leaders of Hamas.
According to the prisoners’ affairs institutions, the IOF arrested at least 42 citizens in various governorates of the West Bank, after they raided and wreaked havoc on citizens’ homes.
In Ramallah, the IOF kidnapped 10 citizens, including 6 from Silwad town, east of Ramallah. They are the ex-prisoner Bassam Hammad, father of the martyr “Anas” (before releasing him later), Farid Al-Najjar, Qassem Riyad, Louay Faris, Abdel Rahman Habash. , Muhammad Habash.
Young Salem Qatash was arrested from the town of Yabroud, and Raed Hamed from Beitin, east of Ramallah, and from its west in Beit Rima as well as two ex-prisoners, Abd al-Rahman al-Rimawi, and Wissam al-Asmar.
IOF arrested 9 citizens from Yatta, south of Hebron, including the representative in the Legislative Council of Hamas Khalil Rabi’i (later released), along with Nasser Rabi’i, Fadel Al-Jabarin, Gabriel Al-Amour, Fadi Al-Amour, and his brother Muhammad Al-Amour, Samer Al-Dababsa, Yahya Abu Sobha, Zakaria Abu Fanar.
Hamza Al-Rawashdeh was arrested from Al-Samo`, south of Hebron.
In the town of Azzun, east of Qalqilya, the IOF arrested 8 citizens, who identified as Muhammad Juma’a, Salim Radwan, Moaz Radwan, Salah Sweidan, Adel Dahbour, Muhammad Radwan, Mahmoud Salama, and Mustafa Inaya.
In Bethlehem, 5 citizens were arrested, including the freed prisoner Muhammad Abu Aker and Uday Hammash, both of them from Dheisheh camp, and 3 from the Aida camp, were: Omar Aziyah, Farouk Bdeir, and Laith Abu Akar.
Local sources in Bethlehem reported that the occupation forces wounded a young man with a “Tutu” bullet in the leg while storming the city.
They pointed out that clashes erupted between the youths and the occupation forces, who responded by firing live bullets and tear gas canisters.
In the town of Jaba, south of Jenin, the Israeli occupation forces arrested 5 civilians, including 4 brothers from the Ghannam family.
In occupied Jerusalem, the occupation forces arrested the young man, Muhammad Azzam Aoun.
