Israeli occupation forces IOF on Saturday morning, August 6, launched a large-scale detention campaign, detaining at least 20 Palestinians in West Bank and Jerusalem.
Local sources reported that Israeli forces broke into a number of camps, neighborhoods, and villages in the West Bank and Jerusalem, and detained at least 20 Palestinians, including a number of ex-detainees.
In Hebron, the Israeli forces raided the Palestinian houses and kidnapped seven Palestinians, including five ex-detainees. Moreover, the IOF broke into the Palestinian houses in Jenin and Tulkarm, kidnapping at least five Palestinians after wreaking havoc on their homes.
Meanwhile, Israeli forces kidnapped the Palestinian journalist Ibrahim Safia from Ramallah after raiding his house. Six other Palestinians were kidnapped as IOF broke into their houses in Ramallah.
Qalandia camp in occupied Jerusalem witnessed another Israeli raid as Israeli occupation forces broke into the camp and detained three Palestinians.
This coincides with barbaric aggression launched by the Israeli occupation against the besieged Gaza Strip since yesterday, in which 10 Palestinians were killed, including a little girl, and dozens were injured as a result of the Israeli shelling on different areas of the Gaza Strip.
Israel has illegally occupied the West Bank in 1967. Since then, Israeli occupation forces have been carrying out near-daily raids in the West Bank, breaking into the civilian’s houses, wreaking havoc on them, and kidnapping dozens.
