Israeli Occupation Forces IOF issued a notification on Sunday, July 30, 2023, ordering the halt of construction in 14 Palestinian facilities in Beit Dajjan village, east of Nablus in the northern West Bank.
Israeli forces invaded the village of Frush Beit Dajjan on Sunday morning, as reported by Palestinian activist and journalist Mohammed Abu Thabet.
Ghassan Daghlas, the official responsible for settlement affairs in the northern West Bank, reported that Israeli authorities handed out 10 demolition orders to residents of Frush Beit Dajjan village.
These orders targeted eight inhabited houses, one of which was constructed before 1967, and two agricultural pools. Azem Haj Ali, the head of Frush Beit Dajjan Council, confirmed that most of the notices were issued on Schools Street in the village.
Furthermore, he highlighted that an additional three notices were given to villagers the previous Thursday, bringing the total number of notices to thirteen within just four days
According to local residents, the Israeli occupation has recently intensified demolition orders and construction halts and prohibited the establishment of water wells, all in an attempt to displace the residents.
Israeli attacks have increased since the beginning of this year 2023, ranging from direct assaults to land destruction and uprooting, tree confiscation, property seizures, closures, checkpoints, physical injuries, and arrests.
