Israeli occupation troops on Sunday, August 21, forced the Palestinian citizen Ahmad Elyan to self-demolish his own house in Beit Safafa, southwest of occupied Jerusalem, under the pretext of building without a permit.
Ahmed Elyan, a father of a child, reported that he was forced to self-demolish his house as Israeli occupation authorities threatened him that he would incur high costs if the municipality’s crews carried out the demolition.
Elyan added that he has been living in the 70-square-meter house since 2014. The house embraces him along with his wife and son. He tried to get a building permit many times, but Israeli occupation authorities were procrastinating in granting him a permit until their house was demolished.
