Clashes broke out between dozens of young Jerusalemite worshipers and the occupying forces in the vicinity of Bab Al-Amud in occupied Jerusalem after the Israeli provocations and attacks recently in the area after the worshipers left the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque.
Medics sources reported that at least 19 Palestinian citizens were wounded by the Israeli occupation forces (IOF)
Our correspondence reported that clashes had broken out in the Bab al-Amud area and had spread towards Bab al-Sahrah and Sultan Suleiman Street, during which the occupation forces had pursued young men and erected barricades around Bab al-Sahrah.
Meanwhile, IOF fired live rubber bullets and gas grenades at Palestinian young men, while arresting two young men from the Bab al-Amud area.
The Red Crescent announced the registration of 19 injuries, 15 of which were treated in the field, while 4 of the injured were hospitalized to complete treatment.
Our correspondent explained that IOF arrested a young man after being attacked with batons by large numbers of the occupation army, and a unit of “Arabists” arrested another young man from the area after having pursued him.
In a number of those arrested during the confrontations, the Prisoners Information Office announced that the IOF arrested about 10 Jerusalemites during the confrontations in Bab al-Amud, two of them by an Arabist unit.
Other two young men and an old man were assaulted, causing varying injuries, and they were all transferred to the so-called Maskombiya detention camp in West Jerusalem, the Office added.
Earlier this evening, the IOF arrested a child from Bab Al-Amoud (who was not identified) and a young man, Radi Al-Dado, from Al-Wad Street in the Old City, after raiding and searching several homes.
IOF also arrested the young man, Munther Al-Rajabi, after storming the Batin Al-Hawa neighborhood.
In addition, on Sunday evening, the Israeli Foreign Minister, Yair Lapid, conducted a provocative tour in the Bab al-Amud Square in occupied Jerusalem.
The Palestinian Foreign Ministry condemned and considered the promises he made to extremist Jews to deploy more occupation forces and his police in Jerusalem under the pretext of providing protection for them on Jewish holidays, incitement against the Palestinian worshipers.
