Israeli occupation forces IOF detained Tuesday, August 29, two Palestinian girls in Khan Al-Ahmar village, east of occupied Jerusalem, while they were defending their kidnapped little brother.
The head of the Khan al-Ahmar village council, Eid Khamis, said the Israeli troops detained his two daughters, Iman, 18, and Nisreen, 20, after they tried to free their brother from Israeli settlers who tried to attack him.
The settlers attacked the child under the pretext of grazing sheep near the “Kfar Darem” Israeli settlement, which was established by force on Palestinians’ lands in Khan Al-Ahmar.
Khamis added that Israeli soldiers assaulted his child, who was no more than 11 years old before his two daughters took the child away from them. Then, the Israeli forces detained the two sisters.
It’s noteworthy that more than 200 Palestinians, more than half of whom are children, live in Khan AlAhmar.
In March 2010, the Israeli occupation authorities issued orders to evacuate the village. However, after the order was appealed in court, the eviction orders were delayed until May 2018. On September 5, 2018, the Israeli occupation renewed its efforts to demolish the village.
However, the Palestinian resistance to the occupation’s decision and the international efforts forced the Israeli occupation to stop implementing it.
With the establishment of the new Israeli extreme right-wing government, the fascist ministers in this government renewed calls for the eviction of the residents of Khan Al-Ahmar and the demolition of their homes.
