S.K | DOP -

Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) demolished Wednesday, February 15, 2023 a Palestinian-owned house and uprooted 100 saplings of fruit trees in Masafer Yatta, south of occupied West-Bank city of Hebron.

Ratib Al-Jabour, the Palestinian coordinator of the national committees to resist the wall and settlements south of Hebron, stated that the occupation forces stormed Sha’ab al-Butm area and demolished a house for the Palestinian citizen Othman al-Jabarin.

It’s noteworthy that early January, 2023, the occupation forces demolished an 80-square-meter house belongs to Al-Jabarin family in Masafer Yatta .

The occupation forces also uprooted 100 seedlings of olive and almond trees in Khallet Al-Daba’a, which Palestinian landowners planted, on the rubble of Khallet Al-Daba’a School, which IOF demolished more than two years ago.

Masafer Yatta, located in southern Hebron Hills, extends over an area of 30,000 dunams, with a population of 2,500 residents distributed over 12 villages or hamlets.

More than 2000 Palestinian residents in Masafer Yatta are facing imminent expulsion from their homes by the Israeli occupation under the pretext of classifying it as a military training area for the Israeli forces in which the Palestinians have no right to live.

Masafer Yatta and surrounding Palestinian communities are subject to ongoing Israeli violations, including multiple assaults by illegal colonizers against Palestinian farmers and their lands.
