DaysofPal – Israeli occupation forces continued bombing Gaza city, killing a Palestinian fisherman and injuring several civilians on Wednesday amid ongoing Israeli violations of the ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip, according to local sources.
The fisherman, identified as Mohammed Shamlakh, succumbed to wounds sustained after Israeli naval forces opened fire off the coast of Gaza City earlier in the day.
In a separate incident, multiple civilians were injured when an Israeli airstrike targeted a residential home belonging to the Rizq family in the al-Nasr neighborhood west of Gaza City.
Emergency crews from the Palestinian Red Crescent transported five injured individuals, including three children, to al-Shifa Hospital following the attack.
Further south in Khan Younis, several civilians were injured at dawn after Israeli strikes hit the vicinity of Street 5 in the al-Mawasi area.
Meanwhile, Israeli artillery shelled eastern areas of Beit Lahia in northern Gaza, as well as the eastern parts of Khan Younis in the south.
Israeli naval vessels also opened fire toward the southern Gaza coastline early Wednesday, though no injuries were reported in that incident.
These developments come as Israeli forces continue, for the 223rd consecutive day, to breach a fragile ceasefire agreement brokered on October 10, 2025, in Sharm el-Sheikh, under Arab and American mediation.
On Tuesday, two Palestinians, including a child, were killed and dozens more injured in nine reported ceasefire violations.
According to official figures released by the Palestinian Ministry of Health, 880 Palestinians have been killed and 2,605 injured since the ceasefire came into effect on October 11, 2025.
The ministry also reported that the total death toll since the beginning of the Israeli genocidal war on Gaza on October 7, 2023, has risen to 72,772, with 172,707 others wounded.
