DaysofPal- Israeli occupation forces IOF carried out a series of large-scale raids across the occupied West Bank early Tuesday, arresting at least 42 Palestinians and targeting multiple towns, villages, and educational institutions.
The coordinated operations included home invasions, extensive searches, temporary military checkpoints, and on-the-spot interrogations.
According to SND News Agency correspondents, dozens of Palestinians were detained during pre-dawn raids across several districts, with some later released following field questioning.
One of the most prominent incidents occurred at Birzeit University, north of Ramallah, where Israeli forces stormed the campus at dawn and deployed additional reinforcements later in the morning.
Local sources reported that troops also entered the town of Birzeit, carried out widespread searches, and detained several university security staff.
In the Ramallah area, arrests included brothers Aysar and Ayham Kanaan, as well as Salah Washha, Majd Diyaa, Samer al-Masri, and Mohammed Diyaa in Birzeit. In nearby Beitunia, Hassan Husseini was detained after soldiers raided his home.
Troops also conducted operations in Ramallah’s al-Tireh neighborhood, parts of al-Bireh city, and other areas of Beitunia.
The raids expanded to Jenin, Hebron, Bethlehem, and Nablus. In Jenin, heavy reinforcements were sent to al-Silah al-Harithiya, with additional raids in Rumana, Arraba, and Marka, where former prisoner Salahuddin Mohammed Jalboush was re-arrested. Operations also took place in Tubas and the town of Tammun.
In Hebron, troops stormed Beit Ummar, arresting a child, Tamer Bahr, and raided al-Dhahiriya, detaining several young men in al-Koum, including former prisoner Osama Mahmoud al-Rujoub, attorney Mahmoud Abdul-Hamid al-Rujoub, and Hamza Tayseer al-Rujoub.
In Idhna, west of Hebron, currency exchange manager Saber Tmaiza, Mutaz Mohammed Abu Jheisha, and Mohammed Mahmoud al-Assoud, father of martyr Muhannad al-Assoud, were also taken into custody.
In Bethlehem district, Israeli forces raided al-Manshiyya and Beit Fajjar, detaining Mahmoud Abu Omar from al-Khader, while more than 20 Palestinians were arrested during a large-scale operation in Marah Rabah village.
In Nablus, six Palestinians were detained in Burqa, including Khaled Iyad Salah, Jawad Marwan al-Hameed, Nasrallah Fateen Salah, Abdullah Salam Dsouqi, Thaer Masoud, and Aboud Aref Masoud. Israeli forces also entered Nablus city from the Huwwara and Beit Furik checkpoints, raiding the Old Askar refugee camp. In Salfit, raids targeted the village of Mas-ha and the town of al-Zawiya, resulting in the arrest of Makram Amer.
In a related development, extremist Israeli settlers attacked Palestinian vehicles with stones along the main road between Nablus and Qalqilya near the Kedumim settlement, causing damage to several cars.
The latest wave of raids and arrests highlights a significant escalation of Israeli military operations in the West Bank, amid rising tensions, increasing detentions, and intensified settler violence in recent months.
