Israeli occupation forces closed Sunday, October 9, 2022 the entrances to the Shuafat refugee camp and the town of Anata in occupied Jerusalem, and prevented prevented citizens from moving in and out.
Last night, the camp witnessed violent confrontations with the Israeli occupation forces who invaded Shuafat and Anata after violent confrontations between Palestinian youths and the Israeli occupation forces.
The Palestinian Red Crescent said that a number of civilians were injured by metal bullets and suffocated by tear gas canisters fired by the Israeli occupation forces during their raid of Shuafat refugee camp.
A special unit of the Israeli occupation kidnapped four young Jerusalemites at the Anata military checkpoint, and raided the homes of Palestinian citizens and arrested a number of them, including a Palestinian man, his wife and his son from Al-Tamimi family.
The occupation forces set up military checkpoints from the entrance to the town of Anata to the town of Hizma, northeast of Jerusalem, which led to traffic jams and impeded the movement of vehicles on the road.
