Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) closed Thursday evening, January 26, 2023 the occupied city of Jerusalem to secure a march carried out by Israeli settlers.
Local sources reported that IOF closed the main entrance to the town of Silwan, the Ras al-Amud neighborhood and Bab al-Asbat Street, and intensified the deployment of their forces in the streets of occupied Jerusalem to secure a march for settlers. They also satt up police checkpoints in the Shiah area in Ras al-Amud, the Gethsmaniyah road and Wadi Hilweh.
It’s noteworthy that hundreds of Israeli settlers performed provocative dances near the Al-Maghariba Gate, which has been closed to Palestinians since it was first seized in 1967, during a march that started from the Al-Maghariba Gate side, passing through Al-Asbat Gate and the Ras al-Amud neighborhood, east of occupied Jerusalem.
