DaysofPal- The Palestinian Ministry of Health has reported that 47 people were killed and 491 others wounded in the past 24 hours as Israeli airstrikes and shelling continued across the Gaza Strip.
Among the dead were 21 civilians who were killed while waiting in line for desperately needed food aid, which is a tragic reminder of the deepening famine under Israeli blockade.
According to the Ministry, the death toll from Israeli-induced famine and acute malnutrition has now risen to 212, including 98 children.
This number continues to climb as Israeli forces maintain a tight siege, blocking the entry of food, clean water, and medical supplies, while deliberately targeting farmlands, storage facilities, and food factories, further crippling Gaza’s already collapsing food security.
Since the Israeli genocide began in October 2023, at least 61,369 Palestinians have been killed, the majority of them women and children, in addition to hundreds of thousands wounded. Gaza’s healthcare system is on the verge of complete collapse, with hospitals destroyed or rendered inoperable, and a severe shortage of medical equipment and essential medicines leaving patients without life-saving treatment.
Field reports warn that more than 1.5 million people in Gaza are now at risk of dying from hunger, with tens of thousands of children suffering from severe malnutrition and dehydration. Desperate scenes are unfolding daily, as families search through rubble and risk ongoing bombardment in a struggle to find food and water.
Legal experts and human rights organizations have described Israeli crimes as a full-scale genocide, involving direct killing through bombardment, systematic starvation, the destruction of essential infrastructure, and the imposition of living conditions designed to wipe out the civilian population.
Despite repeated warnings from international humanitarian agencies about the unfolding catastrophe, the Israeli military operations show no sign of stopping.
The continued Israeli siege and relentless attacks are pushing Gaza toward what observers describe as one of the worst humanitarian disasters in modern history, while much of the world remains silent.
