DaysofPal- The Hamas Movement has appealed to the Arab League, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, and the United Nations to take urgent measures to halt the Israeli genocide carried out by Netanyahu’s Israeli government in the Gaza Strip.
The appeal came after the Israeli occupation announced on Sunday that it had killed Abu Obeida, the long-time military spokesperson of Hamas.
Abu Obeida was one of the Hamas most recognizable figures, serving as the voice of Izz al-Din al-Qassam Brigades, Hamas’s armed wing, for almost 20 years.
Meanwhile, Hamas has been gaining traction internationally, particularly among younger Americans.
A recent survey revealed that 60 percent of U.S. voters aged 18–24 expressed stronger support for Hamas, while half of all respondents said they believe Israel is committing genocide in Gaza.
Since October 7, 2023, the Israeli occupation backed with the U.S. administration, has been committing genocide in Gaza, resulting in 63,459 martyrs, 160,256 wounded Palestinians, most of them children and women, more than 9,000 missing persons, and hundreds of thousands displaced.
