DaysofPal- Hamas Movement has stated it has not received a proposed ceasefire plan from U.S. President Donald Trump, even as the former president expressed optimism that a deal to end the ongoing Israeli war could be imminent.
Speaking to reporters on Friday, Trump said, “It’s looking like we have a deal on Gaza,” but offered no details or timeline for the proposed agreement.
The Israeli occupation has not issued any public response to Trump’s comments.
A Hamas official, speaking to Al Jazeera on condition of anonymity, confirmed that the group “has not been presented with any plan.”
Reports had suggested that Hamas had previously agreed in principle to release Israeli captives in exchange for Palestinian prisoners under a Trump-proposed framework, but no formal plan has yet reached the group.
Trump’s plan reportedly includes 21 points, such as the immediate release of Israeli captives, a phased withdrawal of Israeli occupation forces, the end of Hamas’ rule in Gaza, and assurances that the Israeli occupation would not annex territory or displace residents.
It also hints at a potential pathway toward Palestinian statehood following governance and development milestones.
Meanwhile, the humanitarian situation in Gaza continues to deteriorate amid ongoing Israeli military genocide.
Over 120 airstrikes have been reported in the past 24 hours, with the Palestinian Health Ministry confirming 74 deaths.
The United Nations estimates that between 350,000 and 400,000 people have fled their homes, while medical services are collapsing due to facility closures and shortages of staff and supplies.
