DaysofPal — Hamas Movement has praised Iran’s leadership and people for their “remarkable resilience” in the face of US-Israeli aggression, claiming that it thwarted the objectives of the United States and Israeli occupation.
Hamas spokesperson Hazem Qassem said in a statement on Wednesday that Iran had succeeded in “breaking the will of the Zionist-American enemy” and preventing it from achieving its goals during a “brutal aggression.”
Qassem also emphasized the need for greater unity across the region, stating that the Middle East “belongs to its indigenous peoples” and calling for strengthened cooperation to counter the external colonial forces seeking to dominate the region and exploit its resources.
His remarks came as Iranian authorities declared what they termed a “major victory” following weeks of confrontation.
Iran’s Supreme National Security Council announced that the country, with support from allied groups in Lebanon, Iraq, Yemen, and the Palestinian territories, had successfully resisted U.S. and Israeli military efforts.
In a statement released early Wednesday, the council said the conflict, which lasted around 40 days, ended a “historic and undeniable defeat” for its adversaries.
It added that the strikes carried out during the confrontation would remain “etched in human memory.”
According to the statement, U.S. and Israeli forces initially aimed to quickly disable Iran’s missile and drone capabilities, force its surrender, and destabilize the country.
However, Iranian officials said that within about 10 days, their opponents recognized they could not achieve victory and began seeking communication channels to pursue a ceasefire.
The developments follow reports of solidarity demonstrations held in Iran, reflecting public support for the government’s position during the conflict.
