Hamas: Detainees Are Top Priority Issue

Hamas stressed that the Palestinian detainees are a top Palestinian priority.

“The detainees’ freedom is our responsibility and supporting them is a duty of all Palestinians,” said Hamas Spokesman, Abdel Latif al-Qanuo during a sit-in to show solidarity with the detainees in front of the Beit Hanoun checkpoint.

“We support them in every step they take to achieve their demands until their liberation,” Al-Qanuo added.

“The Zionist occupation’s depriving of the detainees’ families from visiting their sons is a racist measure that contradicts international laws and humanitarian covenants, and a violation of their legitimate right guaranteed by all laws.”
