Electricity generators in all health facilities across the enclave could be forced to stop operating within 10 days due to a lack of oil, filters and spare parts, the Palestinian Health Ministry revealed on Sunday.
The health authorities warned that this development poses a great danger to the lives of patients and injured, especially in sensitive departments such as operations, intensive care and nurseries.
The health ministry called to “all concerned international and humanitarian institutions to intervene urgently” to save the situation and keep the generators operating.
The Israeli army continues to significantly target hospitals and health centers in the Gaza Strip, despite the mounting civilian casualties and catastrophic health conditions.
At least 41,431 people have been killed and 95,818 injured in the ongoing Israeli genocidal war on Gaza.
