Thousands of Palestinians take part in protests north of the Gaza Strip to denounce the Israeli brutality against the Palestinian prisoners and people in Jerusalem and the West Bank on Friday, March 3, 2023.
Participants took to the streets of Jabalia refugee camp, north of the Gaza Strip, after performing the Friday prayer. They expressed their solidarity with Palestinian prisoners in Israeli prisons.
The protesters also chanted slogans that condemn the Israeli ongoing crimes against Palestinian people in Jerusalem and the West Bank.
member of the Hamas Political Bureau Suhail al-Hindi said that the Israeli violations against Al-Aqsa Mosque and the other Islamic and Christian sites are tantamount to a “declaration of war”.
Al-Hindi calls on the Palestinian people in the West Bank and the 1948-occupied lands to mobilize at Al-Aqsa mosque to support the steadfastness of Jerusalem’s people.
The protest, organized by the Islamic Palestinian resistance movement of Hamas, came following a series of Israeli attacks and violations across occupied Palestine.
The Israeli violations included repressive measures against Palestinian prisoners in Israeli jails, attacks in Huwara that led to murders, and ongoing assaults by Israeli settlers against Palestinian lands and properties.
Over the last week, Israeli settlers set fire to at least 40 homes and 100+ vehicles owned by Palestinian families in Huwara, south of occupied Nablus.
Earlier yesterday, Israeli occupation forces carried out a military invasion in Qalqilia and killed a Palestinian child. The ministry of health said that Israeli forces shot dead Mohammed Salim, 15, during a military raid in Qalqilia.
