DaysofPal – The Ministry of Health in Gaza announced on Monday the latest daily casualty figures resulting from Israel’s ongoing genocidal war against Palestinians in the Gaza Strip, reporting that hospitals across the enclave received six bodies and 40 wounded individuals over the past 24 hours following a series of attacks targeting multiple areas.
In its daily statement, the ministry said medical teams continue to face severe difficulties in determining the final number of victims, as many people remain trapped beneath the rubble of destroyed homes or lying in the streets.
It added that ambulance and civil defense crews remain unable to reach several locations due to the dangerous field conditions and the severe lack of resources and equipment.
Regarding the period since the ceasefire agreement came into effect on 11 October last year, the ministry stated that the death toll has risen to 877 people, while 2,602 others have been injured during the same period. Medical and rescue teams were also able to recover 776 bodies from targeted sites across the territory.
In its concluding statistical update, the Health Ministry revealed that the cumulative toll from the Israeli genocide ongoing since 7 October 2023 has now reached 72,763 deaths, while the total number of wounded has climbed to 172,704 people since the beginning of the war.
