DaysofPal- The Palestinian Ministry of Education stated on Tuesday that Israeli occupation forces (IOF) have killed over 11,808 Palestinian students and wounded more than 18,596 others in the ongoing Israeli genocide against Palestinians in the Gaza Strip since October 7, 2023.
The ministry added that the IOF also killed 115 students in the West Bank, wounded 603, and arrested 450 others since October 7, 2023.
The United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) reported that Children constitute 90% of the students killed in the ongoing Israeli genocide, noting that a few days ago IOF killed 50 children within just 48 hours in the northern Gaza Strip.
Moreover, international sources indicate that the daily average of Palestinian victims of Israeli crimes in Gaza is equivalent to a classroom full of students.
Furthermore, the Palestinian ministry of education noted that the IOF destroyed 90% of educational facilities in the Gaza Strip.
“The IOF have also killed 561 teachers and administrators and wounded 3,729 others in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank, while more than 148 were arrested in the West Bank.” The ministry continued.
Additionally, IOF have bombed and destroyed 341 government schools, universities, and university buildings, along with 65 affiliated with UNRWA, in the Gaza Strip, which resulted in 138 being severely damaged and 77 completely destroyed, according to the ministry’s statement.
Eighty-four schools and seven universities in the West Bank have also been stormed and vandalized since October 7.
Since the beginning of the Israeli genocide, more than 788,000 students in the Gaza Strip have been deprived of attending their schools and universities, where most students are suffering from psychological trauma and facing challenging health conditions.
The IOF troops continued their aggressive genocide and crimes in the Gaza Strip for the 396th consecutive day, coinciding with intensive air and ground bombardments and the commission of new massacres against displaced people across the areas of the Gaza Strip.
According to the statistical report issued by the Ministry of Health yesterday, the death toll from Israeli aggression in the Gaza Strip has risen to 43,374 martyrs, along with 102,261 wounded, since October 7, 2023.
