DaysofPal- Famine is worsening in northern Gaza, which is intensifying the suffering of nearly 400,000 Palestinian civilians, particularly in the Jabalia refugee camp, as the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) continue their ethnic cleansing campaign.
As a part of its genocide’s techniques, IOF is using starvation against Palestinian civilians alongside bombing homes and shelters, random killings, and targeting of health facilities.
The government media office (GMO) in the Gaza Strip affirmed that the IOF destroyed all bakeries in northern Gaza, leaving residents without access to bread.
The GMO further said that the IOF imposed a suffocating siege on the northern Gaza Strip for over ten days, blocking the entry of any food or medical aid, which left hundreds of thousands at risk of death, whether from random killings or starvation.
The suffering of Palestinian citizens is getting worse by the severe shortage of water, both for daily use and potable water, as IOF destroyed most of the wells that supply essential water, along with all potable water stations in northern Gaza.
Moreover, the World Food Program (WFP) warned that famine “still exists” in the Gaza Strip in general and in the northern Gaza in particular, in light of the prevention of food supply to the northern Gaza Strip due to Israeli military operations.
WFP added that IOF has been preventing the entry of food aid into northern Gaza since October 1, which has had a catastrophic impact on the food security of thousands of Palestinian families there, noting that food distribution points in northern Gaza were forced to be completely closed due to Israeli crimes and ongoing evacuation orders.
With full American support, IOF have been waging a genocidal war on the Gaza Strip since October 7, 2023, which has resulted in the killing and wounding of more than 140,000 Palestinians, most of whom are children and women, and more than 10,000 are still missing.
The ongoing Israeli crimes continue to leave behind massive destruction and famine that has claimed the lives of thousands of children, in one of the worst humanitarian disasters in the world.
The Israeli turns a deaf ear to UN Security Council Resolution 1 as well as orders from the International Court of Justice that demanded Israeli occupation to take measures to prevent acts of genocide and improve the catastrophic humanitarian situation in Gaza.
