An organization in the Gaza Strip launched July 2023, a project called “Eyes on Heritage” that collects Palestinian ancient manuscripts, books and blogs of Palestinian scholars in the Ottoman era in the Gaza Strip, preserve them scientifically and archives them digitally.
Haneen Al-Amassi, Executive Director of the “Eyes on Heritage” Foundation, explained that the Foundation is based on saving many archives related to Palestinian scholars of Gaza, including manuscripts, pictures, magazines, newspapers, books and novels.
It turned out that among these manuscripts were scholars from Gaza who emerged during the Ottoman era, such as Ahmed Bseiso, Othman Al-Tabbaa and Ibrahim Al-Sakka, and they varied between literature, mysticism, jurisprudence, belief, and many other sciences.
