DaysofPal- The European Union has rejected any changes to territorial control in the Gaza Strip, responding to the Israeli occupation’s introduction of what has been termed the “Orange Line” in the enclave.
EU foreign affairs spokesperson Anouar El Anouni said in press remarks that the EU opposes the move, which would expand the area under Israeli occupation’s control to more than 60% of the Gaza Strip, instead of implementing the additional withdrawals from the Gaza Strip in the ceasefire agreement.
El Anouni reaffirmed the EU’s position on the importance of unifying the Gaza Strip with the West Bank under the administration of the Palestinian Authority.
He also called for the urgent implementation of a peace plan for Gaza, expressing concern over the continuing humanitarian crisis in the territory.
The European Union further urged the Israeli occupation to immediately allow the large-scale and unhindered entry of humanitarian aid into Gaza and to ensure its sustainable distribution.
The Israeli military recently introduced the so-called “Orange Line,” which goes beyond the “Yellow Line” outlined in the ceasefire agreement that has been in effect since October 10, 2025.
