Etmar Ben-Gavir called on Thursday, July 14, 2023, for Israeli action against the Lebanese “Hezbollah” party during a conversation on Israeli radio station “103”.
Ben-Gavir told the local Israeli radio station “103,” “We must respond everywhere. We cannot remain silent about provocations, border violations, and crossing red lines, neither in Gaza nor on the northern borders.”
Israel sent a message to the Lebanese “Hezbollah” on Wednesday evening, stating that it did not want escalation but would not allow any tampering with or crossing of the border fence, according to the Hebrew channel “Kan.” This came after an explosion targeted several individuals near the Israeli fence on the Lebanese border.
On Wednesday, the Israeli occupation army threw a grenade towards a number of individuals who it claimed were attempting to tamper with the border fence with Lebanon, amid reports in the Lebanese media of three injuries.
Lebanon announced on Tuesday that it had filed a complaint with the United Nations against Israel, citing the “encroachment” of Israeli occupation on the Lebanese part of the border town of “Al-Ghajar.”
