Extremist Israeli settlers stormed and profaned, on Wednesday morning, December 21, 2022, the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque, under strict protection from the Israeli occupation police, on the fourth day of the so-called Hebrew “Hanukkah” holiday.
The Islamic Endowments Department in occupied Jerusalem reported that dozens of settlers stormed Al-Aqsa Mosque, and carried out provocative tours in its courtyards, since the morning.
It explained that the settlers performed Talmudic rituals in the courtyards of Al-Aqsa mosque and the eastern side of it, under strict protection from the occupation forces.
It indicated that the occupation forces imposed strict restrictions on the entry of Palestinian worshipers from Jerusalem and the occupied interior of Al-Aqsa, and confiscated their personal identities at its external gates, and prevented the entry of some young men.
Every day, except for Friday and Saturday, Al-Aqsa Mosque is subjected to a series of settler incursions, as part of the occupation’s attempts to divide it temporally and spatially.
The pace of incursions escalates during the Jewish holidays and includes attacks on worshipers and stationed persons, and deportations from the mosque.
