Israeli settlers frequently perform Talmudic rituals in the mosque. These repeated incursions into the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound are seen as deliberate attempts to establish a temporal and spatial division within the sacred grounds.
Recent reports in June have brought to light a proposed Israeli plan to divide the Al-Aqsa Mosque between Jews and Muslims, intensifying tensions and exacerbating existing concerns.
Around 4,000 Israeli settlers invaded the Al-Aqsa Mosque during the month of June 2023.
