At least 51 Palestinians, including children, have been killed and several more injured in Israeli airstrikes on Gaza overnight and on Wednesday morning.
In a statement, the Palestinian Civil Defense Society (PCDS) confirmed that the Israeli strikes targeted residential homes, two vehicles, and areas where large numbers of civilians had gathered.
PCDS said that the Israeli latest airstrikes claimed the lives of at least 51 Palestinians, including children. Several more were injured during the attacks.
“Many people are still trapped under rubble and on the roads as our crews cannot reach them as a result of the intensified Israeli raids on the Gaza Strip for the 355th day,” the PCDS added.
Since last Oct. 7, the Israeli occupation army has continued its brutal offensive on the Gaza Strip, despite a UN Security Council resolution calling for an immediate cease-fire.
Nearly 41,500 people, mostly women and children, have since been killed and around 96,100 injured, according to the Health Ministry in Gaza.
An ongoing blockade of Gaza has led to severe shortages of food, clean water, and medicine, leaving much of the region in ruins.
