Groups calling to boycott the Israeli occupation headed Sunday to Arab doctors and unions to boycott a medical conference will be held in UAE next month after it was confirmed that Israeli companies were participating.
Activists interacted with the call to boycott the “IDEC International Dental Conference” which will be held in Dubai in the coming February for three days, using the Hashtag “#NormalizationIsBetrayal”.
The Gulf Coalition Against Normalization called, via Twitter, the Gulf companies and bodies to withdraw from the conference after confirming the participation of an Israeli governmental agency called “Israel Export Institute.”
The Coalition attributed the reason for boycotting the medical conference, as it promotes Israeli industries in various fields.”
Meanwhile, the Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) considered that the “IDEC” conference harmed the ethics of the medical professing, by legitimizing a racist colonial regime under a medical cover.
Palestinians in general, both on the official and popular level, consider the normalization with Israel a stab in the back, rejecting it by all means.
