Belgian Federal Representative for the Labor Party, Nabil Bukele, called Saturday 23 April 2022 on his country’s government, and the European Union, to take a firm position and condemn Israeli crimes against humanity and the illegal occupation of Palestine.
“Extremist settlers, under the protection of the Israeli occupation army, stormed Al-Aqsa Mosque in Jerusalem, with more than 1,000 Palestinian worshipers inside, in the middle of Ramadan. They were subjected to brutal attacks and were being chased with rubber bullets,” said Bukele in a statement.
Bukele added that “the extremists organized a march of flags again in the occupied city of Jerusalem, the same Israeli provocations that led to the war in May of last year.”
He pointed out that during the past ten days, the Israeli occupation forces killed 14 Palestinians, including women and children, and stormed the Jenin refugee camp several times, which led to the arrest and injury of dozens.
Bukele continued, “All these are Israeli violations, but what do we hear from the Belgian government and the European Union? Nothing but concerns.”
