DaysofPal – A Palestinian family of nine was killed overnight when Israeli warplanes bombed their home in the Nuseirat refugee camp in central Gaza. The strike left no survivors from the family, which included a husband, wife, and their children, according to neighbors, who called the explosion “a very loud explosion.”
The Nuseirat attack was part of another deadly night across the Strip. In Shati camp, west of Gaza City, four members of another family were killed when their house was hit.
Civil defense crews said dozens remain trapped under rubble, but rescuers are being targeted by Israeli quadcopters as they attempt to save lives.
Heavy bombardment and ground operations continue across Gaza. In Gaza City, Israeli forces detonated armored vehicles packed with explosives in residential neighborhoods, including Tal al-Hawa, Sabra, and Nasr, destroying civilian homes and unleashing heavy gunfire.
Strikes also targeted the al-Rayyes area, while hospital sources reported casualties near the Netzarim junction aid center.
The violence stretched south as Israeli gunboats shelled the coast of Khan Yunis, while artillery and airstrikes pounded central and northern districts.
Hospitals in Gaza reported at least 48 Palestinians killed since dawn on Saturday, including 25 in Gaza City alone.
According to Gaza’s health authorities, Israel’s 23-month assault, backed by U.S. support, has killed 65,549 Palestinians and wounded 167,518, the majority women and children. At least 442 people have died from famine brought on by the blockade, including 147 children.
