Palestinian Health Ministry confirmed Israeli forces have killed at least 28 Palestinians and wounded more 125 in the past 24 hours in Israeli airstrikes accross the Gaza Strip, on July 3th, 2024.
This brings the Palestinian death toll since 7 October to 37,953, with more than 87,266 wounded and an estimated 10,000 missing, likely dead and buried under rubble. Health officials report that around 70 percent of the victims are children and women.
Peace Research Institute Oslo reported in June that Israel’s war on Gaza has increased the global war-related death toll by about 19.5% only in 2023.
Over the past three years, the overall number of the world’s deaths, including civilians, has risen to the highest level in three decades and it was driven by three key wars, including Israel’s war on Gaza, which led to the killing of 23000 Palestinians in the last three months of the year only.
